Scholarships
To provide better conditions for research development, graduate students may be awarded scholarships at the Master’s or Doctoral levels if they meet the necessary requirements. Graduate students may be eligible to a National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) scholarship or a Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES / Demanda Social) scholarship, depending on the amount of grants available for the Graduate Program. In the case of Pernambuco Research Foundation (FACEPE) scholarships, it is only possible to apply for funding when the Call for Application is announced. Doctoral Stays/ Sandwich PhD
A Doctoral Stay/Sandwich PhD is an optional internship characterized by the completion of a stay in an academic institution other than the university in which you registered, to be held during the expected course of study of the PhD program, in accordance with candidate’s home university Doctoral Regulations. The Programa de Doutorado Sanduíche no Exterior (PDSE) by CAPES grants, depending on availability, scholarships to Graduate Programs to be used in accordance with Propesq regulations and instructions. PhD candidates can also apply for a Doctoral Stay/ a Sandwich PhD scholarship from other funding agencies.
Postdoctoral Research Fellow
The postdoctoral research position aims to promote additional professional and academic skills, through research and teaching activities. The Programa Nacional de Pós-Doutorado is a CAPES program that grants scholarships to finance postdoctoral research in stricto sensu graduate programs (PPG) recommended by CAPES. Candidates may apply for this position without being granted a scholarship, but they must also meet specific requirements.
