Student Selection

The Student Selection Process is carried out through a Notice, previously discussed and approved by the PPGL Collegiate, reviewed by the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research (PROPESq) of UFPE and published in the DOU. The vacancies offer, according to the recommendations of the CAPES quadrennial evaluation report and the CAPES Commission visit report (09/2018), to BALANCE criteria between the two areas of concentration and, within them, between the lines of research. The disclosure of vacancies offered will also respond to criteria of balance between the teachers of each area and line, aiming at an appropriate number (not more than 8) for each teacher. Information will also be given on the research projects of the teachers linked to the vacancies, aiming at an intellectual continuity between the Research Projects of the candidates and future students of PPGL with the ongoing concerns of the teachers, regarding the publication of joint intellectual products, and consistent with the drift of the Program, thus avoiding productions that are far from the research objectives of the teachers and the program.
